Christ shield me this day, Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I arise, Christ in the heart of every person who thinks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in the ear that hears me.

-St. Patrick of Ireland

Knowing this, don’t be discouraged when your service is unnoticed or taken for granted. Keep on serving God! “Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for Him is a waste of time or effort.” Even the smallest service is noticed by God and will be rewarded. “Something is better than nothing”.

God bless all of us.

Many appear full of mildness and sweetness as long as everything goes their own way; but the moment any contradiction or adversity arises, they are in a flame, and begin to rage like a burning mountain. Such people as these are like red-hot coals hidden under ashes. This is not the mildness which our good Lord undertook to teach us in order to make us like unto Himself. Will you grow to a place of maturity and deeper faith?

Teach me, Lord Jesus.

The Great Commission is your commission. You will be either a world-class Christian or a worldly Christian. Worldly Christians look to God primarily for personal fulfillment. They are saved, but self-centered. It’s a “me-first” faith. In contrast, world-class Christians know they were saved to serve and made for a mission. They are eager to receive a personal assignment and excited about the privilege of being used by God. Your mission is a wonderful privilege. Although it is a big responsibility, it is also an incredible honor to be used by God.

God loves you.
